Barcode Stash
Last updated: February 12, 2026
Overview
Barcode Stash is designed with your privacy in mind. Your data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We do not collect, store, or share any personal information.
Data Storage
All barcode data you save is stored locally on your device. If you have iCloud enabled, your data is synced across your devices using your personal iCloud account. This sync is handled entirely by Apple's iCloud infrastructure — we never have access to your data.
Data Collection
Barcode Stash does not collect any personal data. Specifically:
- No analytics or tracking
- No advertising identifiers
- No third-party SDKs that collect data
- No server-side data storage
- No account creation required
Camera Access
Barcode Stash may request access to your camera to scan barcodes. Camera data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.
Location Access
Barcode Stash may request access to your location to geocode and save the location where a barcode was added. Location data is processed on your device, stored alongside your barcodes, and never sent to any external server. If iCloud sync is enabled, location data syncs with your other barcode data through your personal iCloud account.
iCloud Sync
If you enable iCloud, your barcode data syncs across your Apple devices through your iCloud account. This data is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. You can disable iCloud sync at any time in your device settings.
Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.
